Behavioural Vision Assessments

Behavioural vision assessments at Rose Optometry in Berry evaluate how the eyes work together and process visual information during activities such as reading, learning and everyday tasks. We assess visual skills that may contribute to difficulties with reading, concentration, eye coordination or visual comfort in children and adults.

More

Clear eyesight is only one part of vision. Other visual skills, including eye tracking, focusing and coordination between the eyes, help us perform tasks such as reading, writing and maintaining visual attention.

A behavioural vision assessment looks at these skills to identify visual difficulties that may be contributing to symptoms such as losing your place while reading, eyestrain, headaches during near work or difficulty sustaining focus.

Depending on the findings, management may include advice on visual habits, appropriate optical correction or targeted vision therapy exercises where indicated. Recommendations are tailored to the individual's needs, and further assessment may be appropriate if symptoms suggest other underlying causes.

At Rose Optometry in Berry, we provide personalised behavioural vision assessments for children and adults from Berry, Nowra, Kiama and across the Shoalhaven. If you have concerns about reading, visual comfort or eye coordination, we can assess your visual function and discuss suitable next steps.
